About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Club Cricket Coach to lead and support our senior playing group. The successful candidate will work closely with the club committee and leadership group to deliver high-quality training sessions, foster strong team culture, and drive on-field performance across the senior teams.
This role is well suited to a motivated coach with a solid understanding of club cricket and the ability to manage and mentor senior players.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured, competitive training sessions for senior players
Lead match-day preparation and tactical planning
Provide individual and group technical feedback
Work with captains and leadership group to build strong team culture
Chair team selection and performance reviews
Support player development pathways within the club
Promote professionalism, accountability, and sportsmanship
Liaise with club officials, selectors, and support staff
Ensure compliance with Cricket Australia and association policies
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience coaching senior cricket
Strong understanding of Australian club cricket environments
Ability to manage, motivate, and challenge players
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Sound knowledge of tactical and technical aspects of the game
Ability to commit to training nights and match days
Qualifications (Preferred)
Cricket Australia coaching accreditation (Level 1 minimum; Level 2 or higher desirable)
Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current/previous high-level playing experience highly regarded
