The Role:

As a Sports Technology Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering events of all scales from national and international elite sporting competitions to community sports days and local school events. You’ll be part of the setup, operation and maintenance of sports technology equipment, while working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure each event runs smoothly. In this hands on leadership role, you’ll help create seamless, high quality experiences for athletes, officials and spectators alike. This role will primarily work at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Ccetre and Lakeside Stadium with opportunities to work across all SSCT venues including State Netball & Hockey Centre and State Basketball Centre. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the setup, operation, and pack-down of sports technology equipment
  • Provide coaching and feedback to Sports Technology Officers
  • Serve as the primary technical support during events
  • Collaborate with the Sports Technology Specialist to maintain and evaluate equipment
  • Conduct pre- and post-event checks and resolve operational issues
  • Communicate effectively with event organizers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure a high standard of customer service

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership experience in event operations
  • Familiarity with sports technology &/or Audio-Visual systems (e.g., Omega timing equipment, Mixing desks, microphones, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Strong computer literacy and interpersonal communication skills
  • A current Victorian Working with Children’s Check (Employee) and First Aid & CPR certification
