About the role 

This is a unique opportunity to take on a critical senior leadership role at NSWIS, overseeing the corporate services functions which underpin the organisation’s success. Working closely with the CEO, Executive and NSWIS Board you will lead a broad portfolio including Executive Services, People & Culture, Operations & Project Services, Media & Communications, Information Technology, and Financial Services. 

This role is responsible for ensuring robust governance, compliance, risk management and organisational performance frameworks that enable NSWIS to deliver on its strategic ambitions. You will partner closely with the CEO, Executive, and Board to strengthen organisational capability and foster relationships across NSW Government, industry and community stakeholders positioning NSWIS as a trusted and innovative partner. As a senior leader, you will also champion a contemporary, inclusive workplace culture that supports wellbeing and professional growth.

 

This is a full-time position, attracting a salary range starting at $177,222 plus superannuation.  The contract period for this role is up to 31 December 2028 in line with the Olympic cycle. 

This is an identified position requiring a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Experience or familiarity with Australian state and federal government environments will be highly regarded.

Experience within the Australian sporting system is advantageous, though not essential.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a management/business area, preferably to Master’s level
  • Extensive experience within an equivalent in a senior management role or a talented person looking to progress
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, ability and willingness to travel across NSW and interstate, as required
  • Awareness of contemporary issues relating to athletes in high performance sport (mental health, wellbeing, social issues)
  • Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain this prior to working with us.
