About the Role

The VFL Doctor oversees player medical care, including injury assessment, treatment and medication approvals, and compliance with VFL medical regulations. The role works with performance staff to deliver high-quality medical support, provide after-hours care, and maintain accurate medical documentation. 

We encourage candidates who are available to start immediately and work this Saturday 7th March to get in touch as soon as possible.

What You’ll Do

Assess and manage players’ injuries and fitness status, working collaboratively with the rest of the medical and physical performance team, and provide on-call medical advice. Liaise with the Chief Medical Officer to coordinate appropriate VFL medical services;  have the opportunity for professional development with the Club’s other programmes.

Qualifications 

  • A medical degree that is recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Current registration in Australia with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • AFLDA emergency management course is facilitated by the club every 2
  • Member/Associate Member of AFLDA (preferred)
  • Actively engage in continual professional development
