The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist - Women’s Program to play a leading role in delivering best-practice physiotherapy services across our Senior Women’s Program and supporting Women’s Pathway Programs. Please me mindful that this is a full-time 12-month contract.
About the Role
As the Senior Physiotherapist for the Women’s Program, you will:
- Lead and deliver high-quality physiotherapy services for SACA-contracted female players, including national and WBBL athletes.
- Support Women’s Second XI, Women’s Pathway Programs, and occasionally Men’s Cricket Programs when required.
- Provide physiotherapy coverage across key competitions, including WNCL, WBBL, 2nd XI, training sessions, interstate tours, and camps.
- Collaborate with coaches, performance staff, and medical professionals to design and deliver evidence-based injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs.
- Manage athlete workload and documentation through the Athlete Management System (AMS).
- Contribute to case management, screenings, injury surveillance, and regular reporting.
- Uphold all relevant medical, ethical, and anti-doping standards.
- Support equipment management and supervise staff or students involved in the program.
You will play an essential role in shaping the athlete experience—promoting wellbeing, high performance, and professionalism across the program.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- Master’s degree in Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with elite athletes or professional sporting teams
- Ability to build trusting relationships with athletes and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication skills with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, athlete-centred practice
Highly Regarded
- APA Titled Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
- Advanced resuscitation training
- Dry needling or Clinical Pilates certification
- Research experience or academic publication history
