ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head Coach plays a central leadership role within Kew Cricket Club.
Reporting to the Committee, the Head Coach will lead the design and delivery of our coaching program across senior and junior levels, with a strong focus on player development, performance standards and cultural alignment.
This is a hands on leadership role that combines structure, communication and on field presence. The successful candidate will work closely with players, assistant coaches and club leaders to build a consistent and high performing environment.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
- Design and implement structured pre season and in season training programs that elevate performance standards across the club.
- Support and guide player development at all levels, creating clear pathways from junior to senior cricket.
- Oversee Craig Shield selection and ensure alignment with broader club development objectives.
- Lead match day preparation, fostering accountability, discipline and competitive intent.
- Provide clear, constructive assessment and feedback to players to accelerate growth.
- Promote and embody Kew’s culture, ensuring alignment to our values and reinforcing our identity as a club for all.
- Collaborate with the committee and coaching group to strengthen systems, communication and long term planning.
OUR IDEAL HEAD COACH
- Demonstrates strong organisational, communication and leadership capability.
- Has coaching experience, ideally with CA Level 2 accreditation or working towards it.
- Understands player pathways and is passionate about developing individuals to reach their full potential.
- Can lead across diverse age groups and playing standards with clarity and confidence.
- Holds a current Working With Children Check.
- Brings energy, structure and a commitment to building a sustainable coaching framework.
