Description

We are seeking a senior sports and performance focused physiotherapist to join our rehab and performance team. You will work closely with the Director of Rehab and be trusted with real responsibility, not micromanagement.

This role suits a physio who is confident coaching athletes, enjoys structured rehab environments, and wants to continue developing their skill sets.

We are looking to hire someone for 18-20 hours a week who wants to grow into a full time role. We will also consider a full time role for the right candidate.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Comprehensive injury assessment, diagnosis, and management
  • Coaching athletes through our Athlete Rehabilitation Program including small group rehab, return to run/sprint/COD/contact, and field based sessions
  • Designing and progressing rehab programs for up to 20 individual athletes
  • Delivering individual athletic development sessions
  • Running and interpreting performance testing both individual and group
  • Contributing to program design for our wider athletic population
  • Providing physiotherapy services to affiliate sporting clubs

Who This Role Is For

You are likely a good fit if you:

  • Have strong experience in athletic or group based rehabilitation
  • Have the ability to form strong relationships with athletes
  • Understand strength and conditioning principles and apply them confidently
  • Have worked with emerging or elite athletes
  • Enjoy being part of a motivated, young team environment
  • Are comfortable using performance technology such as force plates, force frame, Nordbord or similar
  • Communicate clearly, lead confidently, and bring positive energy to the floor
  • Are organised and take ownership of your athletes

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a sports or performance physiotherapy role and a minimum of 3 years practicing as a physiotherapist
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Current AHPRA registration

Desirable:

  • Master Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy (currently studying or completed)
  • ASCA Level 1 or working towards
  • Experience in private performance based environments

What We Offer

  • Salary: base rate with lucrative commission based on experience (all our physios hit their markers for bonuses)
  • A clear weekly in house professional development program (including from our senior staff and external presenters)
  • Annual professional development allowance (up to $1300 per year) with full access to Sports MAP and Sport Smith subscriptions
  • Clear pathway to full time employment for the right candidate
  • Access to high level performance facilities and technology
  • A clinic culture that values growth, coaching quality, and athlete outcomes

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a passive treatment role. You will coach. You will test. You will have to solve the problem solve. And you will be challenged.

You will have autonomy, support, and room to grow within a sustainable and expanding performance model.

If you are always striving to improve, then this environment will help get you there.
