The Head Coach is responsible for leading the coaching program of City Coasters Netball Club, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for players, coaches, and club members. The role focuses on player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of netball, while supporting the values as a close-knit, welcoming community club.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development:
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions.
- Promote skill development, teamwork, and fair play.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to players.
Leadership & Club Culture:
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment for players of all abilities.
- Support and mentor team coaches.
- Promote the club’s values.
Program Coordination:
- Oversee coaching standards and consistency across teams.
- Assist with team selection and player placement where required.
- Work collaboratively with the committee to support club goals.
- Work with the Netball Coordinator to ensure training and game-days run smoothly.
Communication & Engagement:
- Address concerns constructively and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Encourage positive relationships between players, coaches, and officials.

Qualifications & Experience
- Coaching accreditation is desirable but not essential.
- Previous netball coaching experience is preferred, though experience in other sporting codes will also be considered highly.
