High Performance Pathways Performance Science Delivery Specialist

With a focus supporting the identification, development and progression of future international medallists, we are looking for a HPP Performance Science Delivery Specialist who is passionate about high level performance science delivery and driving impact. To be considered, you will have demonstrated experience as a performance practitioner with a strong understanding of long-term athlete development, capable of working collaboratively with coaches, performance staff and pathway managers to translate data, science and observation into practical, coach-led outcomes within a national high-performance environment.
What You’ll Do
- Identification, development and progression of future international medalists through evidence-based athlete monitoring, coach support and targeted intervention strategies.
- Analyse training load data for key athletes in Age group/regional programs to assist with correct prescription of physiological stimulus for age/maturation and targeted event/s to ensure correct swimmer development
- Influence National Institute Network on guiding coaches and monitoring athletes most likely to impact results at the Junior Bench Mark Event.
- Assist the National Youth Coach with program visits nationally to upskill selected team coaches and impact preparation outcomes for highly ranked swimmers.
- Support the National Youth Coach and contribute to the design, planning and delivery of camps and competitions.
What You Bring
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in coach mentoring, sport administration, sport science or equivalent.
- Applied experience in athlete monitoring, training load management and performance diagnostics.
- A strong understanding of the unique demands of pathways environments, including age-appropriate practice, long-term athlete development, and balancing performance, wellbeing, and growth.
- Proven ability to work alongside coaches to design, implement and monitor training interventions.
- Experience and skilled in developing strong relationships; influencing and motivating staff and key stakeholders.
- A growth mindset, always looking for better ways to deliver impact.
