The Bracken Ridge Swimming Club, in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, is a community based not-for-profit club that has provided coaching and competition to the local area and beyond for over forty-five years. The club has produced Australian Age Champions, all of which began in our Learn-to-Swim program.
The club has secured the operating rights to the Geebung State School Pool which hosts a Swim School with 120 LTS and 100 Squad enrolments.
The incumbent Head Coach, Gary Conomos, has indicated his desire to retire after fifty-five years of service to swimming. Gary, through his close association with the Electric Eels Swimming Club, guided that club to a Swimming Brisbane Premiership in Division 3. This was achieved through this Swim School.
Accordingly, we are seeking an enthusiastic coach who is ready for the next step in their career, to be a “Head Coach” at the Wizards Swim School @ Geebung.
This is a full-time salaried position + incentives.
This role requires the successful person to be able to develop, review and implement coaching programs for all levels from new participants in our Learn to Swim Program through to senior squad level swimmers. They will directly mentor and lead our Squad Programs and provide leadership, mentoring and development for the other coaches on staff.
They will need to take a financially sustainable business-focused approach to the coaching program and achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer service and client satisfaction.
