About the role
Reporting to the General Manager – Governance & Transformation, the Community Growth Lead is responsible for driving participation growth in strategically selected communities across Victoria and developing models that can be scaled across the state.
This role will identify new opportunities, activate programs and competitions, and build partnerships across the local sporting ecosystem. Through on-the-ground engagement, using data and insight to shape initiatives, stakeholder collaboration, and strong project delivery, your impact will be expanding netball’s reach and strengthening community connection.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying and delivering participation growth initiatives in targeted geographic areas
- Leading the end-to-end activation of new venues and competitions
- Developing sustainable competition and program models aligned to NV standards
- Building and managing strong local partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on participation and engagement outcomes
- Sharing insights, frameworks and best practice to support statewide growth
What you will bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in community sport, participation growth, program delivery or business development
- Proven success in building partnerships and delivering growth-focused projects.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on implementation skills
- A commercial mindset with creativity to identify new opportunities
- Exceptional organisation with the ability to take ideas from concept through to execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience and passion working in grassroots or community sport
- A passion for ensuring inclusion, accessibility and sustainability.
A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) is required, and availability outside standard hours will be essential given the nature of the role.
