Description

Barker College is currently seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Senior Swimming Coach based at our Hornsby Campus.

This will be a full-time (1.0FTE) role commencing as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of this role is to coach swimmers across the program from beginner through to representative levels for school and club. This Coach will be required to coach at multiple venues. The Senior Swimming Coach will also be required to coach or assist with school groups, senior squads, and intensive programs when needed as well as assist in developing junior coaches. This role requires well-developed communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to teach swimming principles to a variety of skill levels.

  • Coaching squads, including attendance at club nights and swim meets
  • Attend and assist with school related swim meets, championships and training sessions as instructed
  • Assist with all Barker related programs as required
  • Undertake lifeguard and pool attendant duties when required
