We are seeking an experienced AFL Head Coach to lead our AFL program for the 2026 season. This role involves planning and delivering the coaching strategy, mentoring players and coaches, and coordinating the coaching team. The Head Coach will be involved with all levels and age groups of the program, as well as significant involvement with the 1st XVIII. The Head Coach will be expected to be available throughout the day Monday and Tuesday, as well as Thursday mornings, Friday evenings, and throughout the day on Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the head of AFL to design and implement the AFL coaching program for the season.
Lead training sessions and game-day coaching.
Mentor players.
Coordinate assistant coaches and liaise with sports staff.
Ensure compliance with child-safe policies.
Essential Criteria
Suitable AFL coaching qualifications and experience.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
A passion for the game, and for sharing it with others.
NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR certification.
