High Line Active is a premier Physiotherapy Clinic and High Performance Centre located in Richmond, Victoria. The clinic offers comprehensive services, including Physiotherapy, Massage, Strength and Conditioning, Clinical Pilates, and Rehabilitation Plus Sports Dietetics and Sports and Performance Psychology tailored to individuals and sporting teams. We work with professional athletes and teams primarily in Motorsports - Karting - Supercars, GT3 racing and more. Plus Triathlon, Marathon and Tennis. Role Description
This sessional contractor on-site role in Richmond, VIC, involves working as a Sports and Performance Psychologist. The psychologist will provide support to both athletes and individuals seeking to enhance performance in sports and daily life. Key responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, counseling clients, designing personalized performance improvement strategies, and addressing mental health concerns.
Driver Athlete is our human perfomance program for Motorsport Drivers and Riders. We manage health and perfomrance of professional athletes from karting through to V8 Supercars, GT racing and Interanational categories. Some travel to races/events to support athletes as necessary. We pride ourselves on delivering expert timely and intensive care to athletes which can also involve out of hours communication. The role also requires close collaboration with other healthcare professionals at the clinic to deliver this unique comprehensive care. Some consultations are online/telehealth and some are in person.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology and Psychological Assessment
- Expertise in Mental Health and Counseling
- Understanding of sports medicine and its application to optimizing performance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Professional registration or certification in Psychology
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and continued professional development
- Prior experience with athletes or performance-focused individuals is highly desirable
- Commitment to progressing current practices in cognitive and vision training would be an advantage, as would experience in managing concussion.
Requirements:
- AHPRA registration practising as a Psychologist
- Experience in Elite/professional sport
- Full working rights in Australia with no restrictions.
