The primary role of the Senior Content Producer is to support the execution of the Netball Australia's editorial, digital and social media strategy, manage content plans and provide support to the Communications Manager.

The primary role of the Senior Content Producer is to support the execution of the Netball Australia's editorial, digital and social media strategy, manage content plans and provide support to the Communications Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the wider Marketing and Commercial team on the creation of digital content
- Lead and implement the execution of Netball Australia’s editorial, digital and social media strategy
- Lead editorial planning and content calendars for digital platforms
- Provide support to the Communications Manager
- Lead interviews, host segments, and engage with athletes and fans on camera
- Identify storytelling opportunities that amplify the voice of the club/teams, players, and the wider netball community
- Produce high-quality, original content tailored for social media, website, and podcast formats
- Plan, script, and coordinate podcast production including guest management, scheduling, and editing oversight
- Lead a small team of talent, producers, editors, and external contributors on The Back Court
- Collaborate with internal departments (including Media & PR) to support key campaigns and initiatives
- Monitor performance metrics across all platforms and adapt strategies to optimize reach, engagement, and audience growth
- Drive brand management and athlete-focused editorial strategies to elevate player visibility and strengthen brand presence
- Serve as a player liaison, collaborating directly with select athletes to develop their personal brands and produce compelling, tailored content
Key Position Requirements
- Minimum five to six years' experience in a related field of employment
- Proven sense of judgement, editorial quality and understanding of Media platforms and brand tone
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to achieve objectives
- Demonstrated ability to relate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Very high level of prioritising, time management and computer literacy
- Exceptional interpersonal, engagement and communication capabilities
- Proven political acumen, initiative and pro-active problem solving skills
- Very good understanding of social media and Sports Industry
- Proven track record of creating compelling content for digital platforms
- Strong storytelling instincts, visual eye, and ability to adapt voice/tone to suit athlete and brand needs
- Experience working directly with talent or athletes

The role is based at Netball’s Head Office in Fitzroy/Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country where you will be spoilt for choice on great coffee spots! Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of Netball HQ and traditional office hours may be required. Our teams work flexibly, and we encourage the successful applicant to discuss flexible working options with their new Manager.
