Run Ready is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our team with particular responsibility for delivering high-quality training and match-day coverage for our affiliate club (St Kevin's Old Boys FC) to support their men's team in the VAFA Premier division.
Run Ready is a sports performance facility & physiotherapy clinic located in Glen Iris, Melbourne. We specialise in run coaching, strength and conditioning, sports injury assessment and rehabilitation for running-based sports. Our state-of-the-art facility provides a professional standard experience for local athletes. We have been successfully operating since 2012 and are acknowledged as one of the leading providers of athletics performance coaching and sports rehab in Melbourne.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work as physiotherapist for the St Kevin's Old Boy's men’s program, playing in the VAFA Premier division. This role will involve:
- Assessment, management and rehabilitation of injured players during weekly training sessions
- Coordination of return-to-play processes and clearance-to-play, in conjunction with coaching staff
- Attendance at all senior men’s and reserves matches including the provision of match-day physiotherapy
- Oversee and deliver an injury prevention component within one of the team’s training sessions each week
- Supervise and mentor sports trainers rostered within the program
- Collaborate with the other Run Ready physiotherapists, and S&C staff, including with the SKOB FC women's (Saints) program
Attendance at all training sessions (Thursday evenings from 5pm - 8pm in Glen Iris) and at all matches (Saturdays from 11am - 5pm, location varied) is an essential component of this role. Additional paid administrative time to facilitate communication with stakeholders will be factored into an overall remuneration package.
This role includes a minimum of one shift (approx 4 hours) one afternoon/ evening per week in the Run Ready clinic. Additional clinical hours are also available and preference will be given to applicants, with appropriate experience, looking to increase their clinical load.
This is a part-time opportunity, with a minimum commitment for the 2026 VAFA football season, with an expectation that the clinical role will be ongoing.
