About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced and motivated coach to lead our fast-evolving Redlands Secondary School Netball program. The Netball Head Coach will be instrumental in our aim to build a positive Netball culture in which players can develop self-mastery, effective problem solving, and deliver their personal best when it matters most.
Successful applicants will work closely with the Director of Netball and the Director of S&C to plan and deliver a year-round Netball performance and participation program that will motivate and develop our highest-potential athletes. This person will be responsible for creating a fun, supportive and challenging environment for students, through two mid-week morning training sessions, as well as Saturday morning Fixtures in season.
Outside of the training sessions and fixtures, the Netball Head Coach will continually work to improve the program, with the support of the Director of Netball and the use of video footage and regular coaching team sessions. The Netball Head Coach will also collaborate with and support other members of the netball coaching team.
The position is casual with competitive hourly rates, dependent on the applicant's coaching experience and qualifications.
About You
The successful applicants will be highly motivated team players with a minimum of two seasons' experience coaching netball in school, club or elite programs; and the ability to engage with people at all levels in the Redlands community.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, committed coaches who are passionate about Netball and working with young people. Experience working with high school aged students is highly regarded.
The following is required for this role:
- Netball Coaching Accreditation (minimum development level or equivalent)
- Minimum four years' coaching experience
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current and valid NSW WWCC (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous experience coaching netball in a school and/or club
