Melbourne Grammar School is seeking highly skilled and dedicated Volleyball Coaches to work with students at our Wadhurst (Middle School) and Senior School campuses on a seasonal, casual basis. Sport at Melbourne Grammar School is considered very important to our students’ overall development and our sports programs cater for all levels of performance, while also providing pathways for the elite who wish to excel.
Volleyball teams train Tuesday - Thursday. Saturday inter-school sport as part of the Associated Public Schools (APS) sporting competition is compulsory and our students have access to the best possible coaching and facilities to enhance their skills and physical fitness, while ensuring sport remains a lot of fun.
Training sessions and availability
- Successful applicants must be available for weekday training and Saturday morning competition fixtures
- Training is available both during morning timeslots (6.45am-8.00am) and afternoons (from 2.30pm – 6.00pm).
- Training session times will be advised to successful assistants.
Coach Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the sport and rules of the game. Prior coaching experience is not necessary but commitment and passion to the sport is essential.
- Ability to inspire or motivate young athletes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment
Must have a Working with Children Check Clearance or be willing to obtain prior to commencement
