Reporting into the Women's Football Manager.  You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing injuries within the NRLW squad. This role ensures effective injury prevention, immediate care, and rehabilitation protocols that align with the team’s performance objectives. The NRLW Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in maintaining player health and readiness, ensuring athletes are fit for training and match play. 

Game Day Role: Running the Orange Shirt.

Location: Wests Tigers Headquarters, Concord
Employment Type: Fixed term Contract
Hours: NRLW training days 3pm-8pm (approx) Pre-season 3x mid week afternoons and 1x Saturday morning.
In-season: Hours will vary pending game day travel. 
Employment Terms:  January 2026 - October 2026

Key Responsibilities:

The Physiotherapist will provide the following services for the Players:

  • Conducting comprehensive injury assessments.
  • In collaboration with the Physical Performance Lead prepare individualised injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs
  • Preparing individualised injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs, including but not limited to:
    • Continuously updating, monitoring and acting on Player workload data via Smartabase
    • Conducting annual physiotherapy screenings.
    • Preparing and submitting injury reports to key Wests Tigers stakeholders as required.
    • Attending weekly case management meetings with NRLW Coaching  and High Performance staff.
    • Maintaining all required communication and adequate consultation notes through Teamworks and Smartabase.

Other responsibilities:

Medications and Supplements:

  • The Physiotherapist must not provide Players with prescription medications without the permission (verbal or written) of the State Medical Officer or other appropriately qualified medical practitioner; and
  • The Physiotherapist must not provide Players with any supplements unless directed to by the State Association Dietitian or Medical Officer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration
  • Masters level Degree in Sports / Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
  • First Aid / CPR Qualification
  • At least 5 years of Sports Physiotherapy experience with elite athletes / teams
  • Working with Children Check
  • Drivers license
  • Advanced Spinal - we can facilitate attendance of these courses - (required to run orange shirt)
  • Advanced resuscitation - we can facilitate attendance of these courses - (required to run orange shirt)
