Waverley Gymnastics Centre (WGC) has a membership base of over 2500 gymnasts and is an industry-leader in both the Recreational (Jnr Gym/Educational/Inclusion) and WAG International streams of gymnastics. Our mission is to enhance lives through gymnastics, by assisting each child to reach their full potential through exceptional coaching and programming in a childsafe, fun and professional environment. ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Child Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager at WGC, you will lead our team to ensure the safety, protection, and overall wellbeing of our incredible gymnasts! This dynamic part-time role (20 hours per week) is an opportunity to make a profound impact by spearheading the development, implementation, and oversight of policies and practices to keep our gymnasts safe. The key responsibility of this role is the embodiment and promotion of WGC's core value ‘Child-Centred, Child Safe’, including child safety-related policy and compliance review and implementation, risk management, responding to child safeguarding and wellbeing queries, maintaining a strong parent, coach and athlete wellbeing partnership, and overseeing child safeguarding education of our staff and contractors. SELECTION CRITERIA

• A strong moral compass and ability to ensure children's safety and wellbeing is the highest priority.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proven ability to build trust and rapport with children and young people.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and empathy.
• Education or training in social work, child development, criminology, psychology, or a related field is highly regarded but not
• required.
• Demonstrated experience in child protection, welfare, or a similar role.
• Valid and current Working with Children’s Check and National Police check (can obtain post interview).
