Description

Are you ready to turn Victoria’s beaches, pools, and arenas into the stage for some of the state’s most inspiring community sport events? Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is looking for a passionate and organised Lead Coordinator – Sport Events to help deliver world-class competitions that bring athletes, clubs, and volunteers together.

In this exciting, hands-on role, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of major events — from State Championships and iconic carnivals to development programs and team competitions. You’ll be at the heart of the action, coordinating logistics, supporting volunteer teams, managing operations, and ensuring every event runs safely and smoothly.

No two days are the same - one week you’ll be finalising event logistics and sponsorship plans, the next you’ll be on-site seeing your hard work come to life. You’ll work with incredible volunteers, passionate clubs, and the LSV Sport team to create memorable experiences that celebrate community, inclusion, and achievement.

If you thrive under pressure, love bringing people together, and want to play a key role in shaping the future of lifesaving sport, we want to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong event operations experience (3+ years) - sport or community events ideal
  • Confident communicator with great people skills
  • Digital know-how and attention to detail
  • A team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves on event day

What you’ll get:

  • A role that makes a real difference in community sport and volunteer engagement
  • Variety, challenge, and plenty of beach time (yes, really)
  • Supportive, purpose-driven culture at one of Victoria’s most respected organisations.

Research shows us that women won’t always apply for a role if they don’t tick all the boxes. If you fall into that category we would love to hear from you, so we can access your ability and even if you aren’t ready now, you might just be at out next intake.

LSV is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from suitably qualified and diverse candidates. We provide a welcoming, safe and flexible approach to work and provide an environment that benefits from and enables the best from everyone.

LSV takes seriously its responsibility to deliver a safe, fair and inclusive environment for Children and Young People. It is essential that anyone involved with LSV understands their responsibility in relation to child safety. Our organisation requires all applicants to obtain a ‘Working with Children Check’ prior to appointment.
