The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and professional Performance & Recovery Coach to join our growing team.
This is a unique opportunity to work across both our Performance Zone and Recovery Centre, delivering exceptional training and recovery experiences for our clients.
You’ll coach athletes and clients on the gym floor, support them in our recovery facilities (cold plunge, sauna, compression therapy), and help elevate Axis’ reputation as a leader in sports performance and recovery.
This role is ideal for a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach or Exercise Physiologist looking to broaden their skill set and fast-track their career in a high-performance environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Performance Coaching
- Deliver high-energy, professional training sessions with a focus on results, safety, and engagement.
- Design and implement individualised and group programs for performance, rehab, and general population clients.
- Support athlete assessments, testing, and data tracking.
- Collaborate with our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists to ensure a seamless performance-rehab pathway.
- Contribute to social media content that showcases athlete success and the Axis experience.
Recovery Services
- Guide clients through their recovery sessions (cold plunge, sauna, compression), ensuring comfort, safety, and education.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment.
- Educate clients on recovery benefits, best practices, and science-based recovery methods.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and uphold Axis’ professional standards.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise or Sports Science, or equivalent.
- Exercise Physiologists are encouraged to apply.
- Current CPR & First Aid certification.
- Working with Children Check and Police Check (required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, self-driven, and adaptable.
- Passionate about athlete development, recovery, and continuous learning.
