Description

Enhance participation in sport by developing and implementing effective strategies and programs that promote inclusivity and skill development, while also supporting the growth and sustainability of the sport. Enhance athlete and coaching pathways resulting in increased capability and sustainability of Olympic and Paralympic Pistol Shooting.

Responsibilities

National and Participation Growth

  • Develop national participation strategies in collaboration with member associations.
  • Develop tools and resources for clubs to attract and retain members and identify talent utilising best practice delivery.
  • Provide guidance and capacity-building support to clubs through member associations.

Talent and Pathways

  • In collaboration with the TPA Pathways Development Team, senior coaches and stakeholders, develop a national development pathway for identified, talented athletes and coaches that prepares them for transition to the Shooting Australia High-Performance Program.

Promotion and Communication

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to promote participation programs nationally.
  • Develop content and stories showcasing club success, participation growth and development achievements.
  • Represent TPA at forums, expos and events relevant to the growth of development for the sport.
  • Identify opportunities for funding proposals and assist in developing submissions to secure financial support for key initiatives.

Data and Evaluation

  • Report on membership, participation and program data to monitor program performance, impact, effectiveness and areas for improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • Completion of all applicable SIA Modules
