Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School has developed an Aquatic Club which supports a new and exciting, premier swimming program located at the school. With a strong foundation built on excellence, community, and innovation, we are committed to providing swimmers of all levels with opportunities to thrive.
Hale School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced swim coach ready to inspire the next generation of athletes.
The successful applicant will:
- be expected to effectively manage, coordinate and support club members and their development and performance.
- be empathetic, welcoming and supportive of the needs of athletes.
- be highly organized, efficient, reliable, and supportive of team members.
- demonstrate good communication skills, keep others informed and effectively plan.
- have a firm commitment to professional coaching and sports integrity and a willingness to support the school’s values and Anglican traditions.
- hold appropriate professional qualifications and professional experience in a similar environment
- Minimum Swimming Australia Development Coach Accreditation or higher.
- Current CPR and Senior First Aid certifications.
- Valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Experience coaching swimmers in a structured or competitive environment – preferred 4+ years.
- Commitment to maintaining qualifications and seeking professional development opportunities.
- have and maintain a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
It is desirable that applicants also have an exercise and sport science background, have experience at a state or regional level and have worked in school environments.
