The Y Geelong is looking for an experienced Advanced Gymnastics Coach to join our vibrant team in Newtown and North Geelong on a casual basis.
As an Advanced Coach, you’ll play a key role in guiding young athletes aged 7 - 17 through the Artistic Gymnastics Australian Levels Program (ALP) Levels 7-10. You’ll be part of a supportive coaching team that’s committed to empowering talent, building confidence, and creating unforgettable experiences for every gymnast - from beginners to competitive seniors.

What you need to come with:
- Gymnastics Accreditation – Advanced or above
- Technical Membership
- First Aid HLTAID012 – maintained every 3 years
- CPR HLTAID009 – maintained annually
- Ability to engage children in a sport and recreation environment
- Enthusiastic approach to coaching
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for ALP programs
- Conduct group training sessions, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and physical conditioning
- Attend competitions and practice days
- Prepare athletes for competitions, including routine composition and mental preparation
- Monitor athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive and inclusive training environment that encourages growth and sportsmanship
