Q Performance Physiotherapy, in partnership with Netball Queensland, is seeking a motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team.
This role provides physiotherapy services to the Firebirds Futures Academy, Suncorp Super Reserves competition, and State Representative Programs - 0.35 FTE approx. You will work closely with athletes, coaches, and strength & conditioning staff to deliver best-practice injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation services.
There is also the opportunity to expand this position into a full-time role in 2026 by combining it with a private practice caseload at Q Performance Physiotherapy, based in Windsor QLD. Our Queensland Firebirds physiotherapy team also operate out of Q Performance, providing a strong integrated pathway from Emerging to Professional Netball.
Commencement Date of 15 October 2025 required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strapping, preparation, triage, and acute care during training sessions and tournaments
- Communicate with Coaches and S&C Staff to support athlete load management and modifications
- Lead the rehabilitation and return-to-train/play management of injured athletes
- Travel with teams to State Tournaments (approx. 1 week per year) and the Suncorp Super Reserves competition (approx. 7 weeks, including weekend interstate travel)
- Support the management of Queensland Firebirds training partners and liaise regularly with the Queensland Firebirds Lead Physiotherapist
- Attend and contribute to weekly meeting schedule with respective program staff including preparation and delivery of reports, updates and athlete management plans
- Contribute to occasional Queensland Firebirds training coverage and rehabilitation support where required
- Oversee the ordering and control of medical consumables for respective programs
- (If full-time): Manage a private practice caseload at Q Performance Physiotherapy, building a client base and contributing to our clinic’s strong reputation in high-performance sport
