An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified, experienced coach to lead our NBL1 West Men's Program for the  NBL1 West 2026 season and beyond.

Our club was formed in 1973 and joined the Western Australian District Competition, later becoming a foundation club of the State Basketball League (SBL) in 1989 and then the newly formed NBL1 - West competition in 2021.

Our senior teams have always maintained a very high level of success whilst ensuring a pathway for our juniors is maintained.

If you believe you have the qualities and experience to lead the club in this capacity, we encouraged you to submit your EOI. 

Please detail your coaching experience and qualifications addressing the following.

  • Previous Coaching experience
  • Coaching Qualifications
  • Season plan and vision
  • Communication Skills

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Relevant Basketball Coaching Experience at this level.
  • Be a positive role model on and off the court - lead by example
  • Elite level coaching experience (NBL, WNBL, College etc)
  • Minimum Level 2(Association) coaching qualification
  • Elicit and nurture a positive relationship between all members of the NBL1 squad, staff and the wider Hawks community.
  • Level 3 Coaching Accreditation (desirable)

Due to the nature of the sport, weekend and out of hours' work is a principal requirement and expectation of the role. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on their skills and experience.
