Williamstown Football Club is seeking an experienced and passionate VFLW Senior Coach to lead our women’s program into its next exciting phase.
Founded in 1864, Williamstown is one of the oldest and most respected football clubs in Australia. Our Women’s program plays a vital role in the development of female footballers, providing a pathway to the elite level while fostering a strong culture of growth, inclusivity, and high performance.
About the Role
The VFLW Senior Coach will be responsible for:
Leading the VFLW program, including game strategy, player development, and overall performance outcomes.
Building and maintaining an inclusive, professional, and supportive team culture.
Working collaboratively with the club staff, High Performance, and Medical staff to manage player development and welfare.
Recruiting, developing, and retaining players and support staff.
Representing the club with professionalism across the VFLW competition, media, and broader football community.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proven coaching experience at VFLW, AFLW, or elite community football level.
Strong technical and tactical knowledge of the modern game.
A genuine passion for developing female athletes both on and off the field.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Ability to thrive in a standalone football program environment.
