Description

Archery Australia is seeking applicants for an Archery Participation Lead based in Queensland to service the Queensland region. The primary purpose of the role will be to support and deliver Archery Australia and Archery Queensland agreed planned activities that are aligned to Archery Australia's Strategic Plan and ASC's Play Well strategy.

  • Program Delivery & Activation
    • Deliver participation-based initiatives as agreed with Archery Australia and Archery Queensland in alignment with Queensland funded project activities and national funded strategies.
    • Organise and deliver Come n Try sessions and community engagement events with targeted groups.
    • Facilitate or coordinate with accredited presenter assessor 1-2 Community Archery Coach Courses with targeted groups.
  • Strategic & Club Development
    • Support clubs and RGBs to develop and implement local participation strategies.
    • Support clubs in creating inclusive and welcoming environments, particularly for youth, regional communities, and underrepresented groups.
    • Identify and evaluate specialised archery equipment needs of RGBs and member clubs that could assist greater participation by their members in Championship and Qualification Ranking Events.
  • Training & Capability Building
    • Facilitate and deliver relevant training courses and coaching accreditations.
    • Build volunteer capacity by supporting training, recognition, and retention strategies and build clarity on roles and responsibility.
    • Provide guidance on governance, policy development, and administrative support.
  • Partnerships & Advocacy
    • Identify and nurture strategic partnerships, including schools, councils, disability groups, community groups, and potential funding bodies.
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Provide monthly reports to the Archery Queensland Management Committee on activity progress and outcomes.
    • Monthly planning meetings with AA and Archery Queensland.
    • Maintain strong communication with Archery Australia, RGBs, clubs, and other partners.
    • Be an active member of the AA participation lead group to connect and share with the state participation leads on a fortnightly basis
    • Advocacy for the sport of archery and the vision of Archery Australia and archery QLD
