The Program Coach will assist in delivering the squad swimming program and provide support to the team of dedicated Coaches in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
The role includes supporting the design and implementation of coaching programs for athletes of Junior Development, State and National levels, ensuring the smooth progression and development of swimmers throughout the program in alignment with the club’s established pathways, under direction of the Operations Manager. The Program Coach will also be the liaison between the Squad Programs and the LTS School, working with and in support of the LTS Manager, in conjunction with and as directed by the Operations Manager.
What You'll Do:
Support Junior Coaches (Development and State Squad level) under the guidance and instruction of the Operations Manager.
Provide on deck support to state and national coaches as required
Act as a liaison with the Learn to Swim (LTS) program, working in conjunction with the Operations Manager and LTS Manager, as directed
Assist with coordinating and overseeing the professional development of Coaching staff and from time-to-time, LTS teachers and instructors, based on the Club’s approved development plans
Provide coaching coverage during absences of other coaches and,
Assist coaches at meets as instructed, ensuring team organization and athlete preparedness align with club requirements.
Take responsibility on competition day as the Coach in charge of pre-selected relay teams at specified Championship Events as assigned by the Operations Manager
Take responsibility on competition day as the Coach in charge, at non-Championship meets when assigned to that role
