About the Role:
The Performance Analyst (PA) will play a key role in supporting the overall team performance, individual athlete development and opposition review through analysis of the Adelaide Thunderbirds training environment and Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) matches.
The PA will contribute the objectives of the Netball South Australia (NSA) State Pathway programs in providing leadership and delivery of high-quality sports performance analysis services to maximise elite athletic performance and assist in coach development aligned to High Performance.
Your Responsibilities:
Adelaide Thunderbirds
- Assist with the development of a high-performance training environment, advising on appropriate training, strategies and feedback mechanisms.
- Provide feedback via video footage and reports that analyse technical and tactical information and recommend interventions that improve athlete development and performance.
- Guide, advise and assist in the development of the Adelaide Thunderbirds game plan.
- Plan and develop, in conjunction with coaches, the structure and content of analysis sessions providing innovative ideas to assist in improving individual athlete development and team performance.
- In conjunction with the Adelaide Thunderbirds list management team, contribute to the future talent needs of the Adelaide Thunderbirds by providing relevant data and analytics to help inform decision making.
- Assist the Head Coach to develop and review annual Individual Athlete Performance Plans.
Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures
- Assist with the development of a high-performance training environment, advising on appropriate training strategies and feedback mechanisms.
- Guide and advise the development of Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures game plan, ensuring that valid objective information is utilised and there is clear alignment with the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
State Pathways
- Contribute to the objectives of the NSA State Pathway programs in providing high quality sports performance analysis leadership and services to maximise elite athletic performance.
- Oversee the development of an appropriate performance analysis strategy to cater for the needs of the coaches and athletes.
- Source performance analysis assistants and provide full training on procedures, use of equipment and operating in a high-performance environment.
- Provide guidance to General Manager- High Performance on procurement of resources and equipment required for High Performance and State Pathways programs to maximise athlete performance.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate:
- A Degree in Sports Science (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a similar role or similar organisation in high performance sport.
- Comply with NSA Financial Policies and Procedures.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting within deadlines.
- Ensure that all agreed strategies and key performance indicators and are achieved
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Driver’s license.
- Working with Children Check.

Being a sporting organisation, work may be required out of normal hours for weekend games and evening events. We are an organisation with flexible working conditions, offering time off in lieu. Interstate and intrastate travel may also be required on occasion.
