WAIS is looking for an experienced Sports Physiotherapist to support our high-performance sport programs through preventing, treating, and rehabilitating sports injuries for our WA athletes. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player and work closely with other performance support disciplines.
Please note, this is a maximum term role at 0.8 FTE until December 2028, with the potential to extend.

Role Overview:
In this role some key duties include:
- Lead the development and implementation of effective return-to-play plans that return athletes to performance with minimal time loss and reduced risk of recurrence.
- Educate athletes on injury risk and reduction strategies to support informed, high-performance decision-making.
- Maintain comprehensive injury records and conduct injury epidemiology analysis to inform data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary support teams to ensure impactful, holistic athlete support.
- Support the Performance Health Lead in driving practice standards across the organisation.
- Ensure high-performance environments are safe, policy-compliant, and conducive to athlete well-being.
About you:
- You are committed to upholding Australia’s High Performance WinWell pledge putting athlete wellbeing at the forefront of your role.
- You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience providing performance physiotherapy support in sporting environments.
- Completion of, or working towards Master of Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy or equivalent (desirable)
- AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- You have amazing interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with athletes, colleagues and external stakeholders alike.
- You have or are able to attain a Working with Children Check and National Police Criminal History check.
- You are a genuine team player that cares about others and always acts with kindness and integrity.
