We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Head Coach of Swimming to join our Aquatics team at Trinity Grammar School. This full time position offers the chance to work in a high performing, student focused environment where excellence, teamwork, and personal development are at the heart of everything we do.

As Assistant Head Coach, you will work closely with the Director of Sport - Swimming to deliver engaging and effective training sessions, support athlete development, and contribute to the strategic growth of the program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high quality coaching across all levels of the swimming program, working closely with upper middle and senior level swimmers
• Lead sessions for competitive squads and support school swim teams
• Mentor junior coaching staff and contribute to a positive team culture
• Coordinate staffing rosters for School Swimming activities and Primary Mini Squads
• Act as a point of contact for athletes, parents and coaches of Swimming and respond in a timely manner
• Undertake daily pool maintenance tasks as required, including water quality testing, backwash and plant room checks
• Attend swimming competitions, championship meets and training camps where Trinity swimmers are representing either the School or the Swimming Club

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated swim coaching experience in a school or club setting, at a National Age finalist level
• Current Swimming Australia "Advanced" coaching Licence or higher
• Be a financial member of the Swim Coaches & Teachers Australia
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
• Willing to be an active financial member of the Trinity Grammar School Swimming Club and hold an executive position on the committee
