Guildford Grammar School is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Volleyball Coaches to join our dynamic program and with our senior & junior indoor & beach volleyball teams throughout the upcoming summer season. The ideal candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience in volleyball, with a commitment to developing our players both on and off the field.

If you are passionate about volleyball and dedicated to developing young athletes, we would love to hear from you! Please submit a short cover letter outlining your experience both playing and coaching, along with a current resume that includes details of three current referees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor teams during training sessions and matches
  • Develop and implement training plans tailored to the skill levels and further development of the students
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive culture leaving behind a legacy in the Guildford Grammar volleyball program
  • Work closely with the Head of Volleyball to support talented players in achieving both team and individual success
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training and fixtures

Training Schedule:

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 6.15am - 8.15am (Senior Teams)
  • Monday and Wednesday, 6.15am - 8.15am (Junior Teams)

Fixture Schedule:

  • Saturday mornings (Senior Teams)
  • Friday afternoons 12pm - 4pm (Junior Teams)
  • Friday evenings (Junior & Senior Teams)

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of Volleyball and proven coaching techniques
  • Coaching accreditation preferred but not essential
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Police Check (dated within the last 6 months)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Previous coaching experience preferred
  • Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
