About the role
Reporting to the AFLW Analyst, the AFLW Assistant Analyst is responsible for assisting with capturing, monitoring and analysing player data, liaising with the relevant football department staff to communicate findings which will in turn support improvements in individual and team performance.
Key Responsibilities that this role will assist with:
- Performance analysis of HFC key metrics providing weekly reports and data visualisations from relevant data streams and tools
- Collate and manage databases of results, match day, player workloads and physical testing scores
- Ensure environment is compliant with the coordination of equipment
- Provide matchday support including the setting up of data infrastructure and providing real-time feedback of information to coaches and other staff
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will be proficient in Sportscode and have worked for a sports team prior. They will ideally have experience working within a football team environment or have a strong interest in the development of the game. A tertiary degree &/or relevant qualifications in sport analytics highly regarded.
This is a fixed-term, part-time opportunity for the 2025 season that will require attendance at one training (Tues or Thurs) and one game per week, commencing no sooner than the 21st of July.
