The WPA High Performance vision is “For the Stingers and Sharks to Win Well at the Olympic Games to inspire Australia”. Our purpose is to “provide the environments which sustainably enable the Stingers and Sharks to Win Well when it matters” and “to provide the environments which sustainably enable a pipeline of high-quality athletes to be ready for Stingers and Sharks selection.”

The purpose of this role is to support the QAS program Head Coach in delivering one of the Stingers' two National Institute Performance Environments under the “one program, two locations” philosophy. This will help ensure the technical direction and performance environments that current and future Stingers athletes engage with Nationally are aligned to the WPA Athlete Development Framework (in final stages of review) and the technical philosophy of the WPA Stingers Head Coach.

You will work collaboratively with WPA, the QAS, identified athletes and targeted coaches to deliver a world class daily performance environment for QAS scholarship athletes. You will also provide leadership and program management support, in partnership with Water Polo Queensland, to the next generation of identified Stingers-potential athletes in QLD through targeted talent programs that underpin the QAS program.
