About the role
The Coach Programs Manager will lead statewide recruitment and workforce initiatives, and targeted venue development support. It will provide direct oversight of programs to attract and retain new coaches and operators, deliver regional and South-East Queensland growth, and elevate the professionalism and sustainability of tennis businesses. The Manager will lead multi-stakeholder projects, business coach programs, and oversee the operational delivery of initiatives that impact both participation and performance pathways.
In this role you will:
- Lead the strategic implementation and evolution of new coach recruitment initiatives and associated workforce programs.
- Develop and manage all recruitment education and training resources.
- Manage and innovate all TQ coach programs, including Advantage Coach, Business Coach Summit, and Tennis Career Ambassadors.
- Deliver modern, inclusive, and accessible development opportunities for current and future coaches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clubs, coaches, education partners, regional stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Work across teams including Schools, Competitive Play, and Marketing to align messaging and maximise program reach.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ability to inspire, motivate and influence stakeholders to position tennis coaching as an attractive long-term career opportunity
- Sport business & workforce development experience (desirable)
- Strong project and stakeholder leadership skills.
- Grant, budget management, and financial reporting experience.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis QLD.
