Australian Athletics (AA) is the governing body for Athletics in this country. It is a National Sporting Organisation whose major partner is the Australian Sports Commission. AA is responsible for athletics, including high performance, participation, coaching, officiating, juniors, para-athletics, domestic and international competition. Australian Athletics has a critical role in leading, fostering and encouraging participation in athletics in Australia and promoting excellence in performance.
As we head towards the 2028 LA Games & 2032 Brisbane Games, it is an exciting time to join our Team! We are currently seeking to recruit a newly created role Wellbeing & Integrity Education Coordinator.
About the Role:
The Wellbeing & Integrity Education Coordinator will support elite athletes as they navigate high performance programs, empowering them to find a balance between wellbeing, engagement in activities outside of training and competition, and the requirements of elite sport.
In this role, you'll have the oppportunity to:
- Provide “world best” wellbeing support to athletes and their personal coach as part of an integrated performance team to positively impact on athlete performance at international benchmark events.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of education initiatives and programs relevant to the AA anti-doping education plan.
- Establish relationships with athlete support networks (parents, partners, carers) in order to provide them with information and resources around supporting a HP athlete.
- Support the development and delivery of education workshops for a range of stakeholder across all levels of the AA High-Performance program and support compliance to the National Integrity Framework and AA’s anti-doping education plan.

You’re confident, creative, and able to develop strong networks while inspiring and supporting athletes to stay motivated, explore their interests, and create individualised plans that set them up for success. We welcome a range of professional and lived experiences and encourage applicants who may not meet every listed requirement but bring passion and relevant transferable skills.
Ideally you will have:
- Relevant qualifications that would support the achievement of the role outcomes and key accountabilities (examples include Education, Career Counselling, Psychology, Sports Administration or other related other fields.
- Strong understanding of the Australian sport system, in particular proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary High-Performance environments.
- Demonstrated high level experience guiding and supporting people through various transition, educational and vocational pathways.
- A keen commitment to clean sport and abiding by AA’s National Integrity Framework the Australian National Anti-doping Policy, Safeguarding Children and Young Persons Policy, and Code of Conduct.
- Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check and (or ability to hold) Police Check.
