Basketball ACT is seeking and energetic volunteer to fill the role of Game Day Event Officer
About the role
To assist in the delivery and event coordination of Basketball ACT’s Canberra Gunners and Canberra Nationals NBL 1 East and/or Waratah League game days.
About you
As the Game Day Event Officer you have:
- Interest/experience in hospitality and/or event management and creating meaningful game day experiences for attendee’s
- Capacity to understand the diverse array of clients and their needs
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and develop and maintain partnerships, networks and client relationships in a concise manner.

About Basketball ACT
As one of the largest sporting organisations in the region, Basketball ACT is recognised by Basketball Australia and the ACT Government as the governing body for the sport of basketball in the ACT, and is responsible for the conduct of competitions, development, and performance programs throughout the Territory.
Basketball ACT boasts over 12,000 registered participants each year, ranging in age from 5 to 70 years involved in the wide range of competitions, learn to play, introductory and development programs as well as performance pathway programs delivered annually. With over 785 teams across junior and senior competitions, over three hundred referees and officials, as well as hundreds of volunteers, Basketball ACT is recognised as one of the largest basketball associations in Australia.
