Role Overview

Sydney University American Football Club is seeking three volunteer Content Producers to help showcase the stories, energy, and community behind our growing programs:

  • Tackle Program
  • Flag Football Program
  • Women's & Juniors Program

As a Content Producer, you'll play a vital role in growing the visibility of American Football in Australia by creating high-quality, engaging content - from highlight reels to behind-the-scenes features - that resonates with players, fans, and future recruits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver 2–3 engaging content pieces per week across social media and digital platforms
    • Player profiles, training highlights, story snippets, throwbacks, etc.
  • Attend game days (as available) to:
    • Film games or capture key moments
    • Provide live score updates on club socials
    • Take and share behind-the-scenes content
  • Support sponsorship graphic creation and fulfillment (e.g. logos on content)
  • Help tell the stories behind our athletes, teams, and volunteers
  • Collaborate with coaches, team managers, and media leads
  • Promote club values, inclusion, and community

What We’re Looking For

We are recruiting for:

  • 1 x Tackle Program Content Producer
  • 1 x Flag Football Content Producer
  • 1 x Women's & Juniors Content Producer

We're looking for a mix of experience levels - you might be:

  • A student or early-career media/communications professional looking for hands-on experience
  • A content creator passionate about sports storytelling
  • A former player or volunteer who understands the team culture and wants to contribute

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Confidence with smartphone video, photography, or editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe, DaVinci)
  • Able to commit approximately 2–4 hours per week
  • Bonus: Experience with Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or sports editing tools
