The Combat Institute of Australia (CombatAUS) is the high performance delivery partner for Judo Australia, Australian Taekwondo and Wrestling Australia (Member Sports), aiming to deliver sustained international success.
For Wrestling, CombatAUS oversees a primarily camps-based program, delivered with support from the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). National program and Categorised athletes are supported through integrated National and International camp and competition activity, and where possible through state-based institute scholarships or other performance support solutions.
With a primary focus on the prospective Brisbane 2032 athlete cohort, the National Development Coach will work closely with National Program Coach to deliver the Junior National Program activity for Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling with a focus on technical development, competition readiness, and athlete progression across U15, U17, and U20 categories.
The coach will support long-term athlete development in alignment with the Wrestling ‘What it Takes to Win’ (WITTW) and the Athlete Development Framework, ensuring junior athletes are prepared for structured transition into senior programming.
