ABOUT THE ROLE

The Futsal Coach Education Coordinator is responsible for elevating the standard of Futsal coaching throughout Australia. This role involves designing and delivering educational programs that equip coaches with the necessary skills and knowledge to foster player development and promote participation. By working collaboratively with Member Federations and other stakeholders, the coordinator will ensure coaching practices align with national standards and contribute to a cohesive Futsal ecosystem. This position is integral to Football Australia's strategy to effectively control, organise, promote, grow, and administer Futsal on a national scale.

Please note that this role is fixed term until 9th December 2026

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Implement the national Futsal coaching accreditation framework in collaboration with Football Australia’s technical department.
  • Deliver structured coach education programs, including certification courses, online learning and practical workshops.
  • Develop online education modules for all Futsal certificate courses.
  • Develop online education modules for Continuing Professional Development hours.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to access footage and cut clips from National Team and major tournament matches to be used in online modules and courses.
  • Develop face to face content for coach education courses.
  • Develop course outlines and assessment procedures and rubrics for coach education courses.
  • Work with Member Federations to plan an annual calendar of courses to be rolled out throughout Australia with clear registration periods.
  • Work with Member Federations to identify and develop coaching education tutors around Australia.
  • Work with Member Federations to identify and develop coaching talent at all levels.
  • Enhance coaching development pathways, from grassroots participation to high-performance levels.
  • Support mentorship and ongoing professional development for coaches.
  • Promote best practice coaching and player development models tailored for Futsal.
  • Ensure alignment with FIFA, AFC, and Football Australia coaching standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and resources to Member Federations to enhance local coaching initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Referee Education Coordinator to ensure coaches and referees operate with a unified understanding of the game.
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator to promote coaching education programs and increase awareness of development opportunities.
  • Report regularly to the General Manager – Coach Education and General Manager – Futsal on coaching education progress, challenges, and achievements.

ABOUT YOU

Experience, Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Experience in coaching education, training, or development.
  • Strong knowledge of FIFA, AFC and Football Australia coaching accreditation systems.
  • Ability to deliver structured coach education programs.
  • Ability to write educational content.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing coaches at all levels.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and online education tools.

Additional Requirements: 

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent 
  • International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
  • Out of hours and weekend work as required
