This is a hybrid role which has two clear purposes. Firstly to provide administrative and operational support to the Boards of the Central North and New England Junior Rugby Union and their competitions, in particular Competition Management of the North West Regional Youth Rugby Competition (U14-U18) and Gala Days (U6-U12), as well as seek new funding opportunities via sponsorship, philanthropic and government grants, in conjucntion with the NSWRU Positive Rugby Foundation. Future expansion of the role may include providing operational support to the Senior bodies within the CN and NE Zones.
Secondly to work closely with the NSW Rugby Development Officers within the two zones to increase the number of Rugby players in Central North and New England by providing the necessary education and support to Clubs, Schools, Coaches, Match Officials and Administrators as well as appropriate recruitment and retention programs.
Success in this role will result in;
A greater number of people playing and staying in rugby clubs across NSW
Improved satisfaction with the operation and administration of the competition
Introduction of new revenue streams
Higher quality of coaching, training environments and match officials at clubs and schools
Retention of key volunteers across clubs & succession planning
An increased number of clubs and schools playing in XV’s and Rugby 10’s or 7s competitions, while developing strong connections from schools to Rugby Clubs and Junior space into Senior space resulting in more rugby players in NSW
Improved sentiment of the game via upholding and enforcing the integrity of Rugby
