AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia’s Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Tour athletes.

Team Purpose
Our Sport Pillar oversees events and racing; workforce education and accreditation programs; competition rules and the State / Territory delivery network.
Position Purpose
As a member of the AusCycling Events team, the Event Coordinator is responsible for providing support across the events team for event sanctioning, UCI liaison in event registration, UCI IDs, UCI licenses and results reporting. The role will also provide operational support at targeted events as well as leading on the management of inbound event enquiries across the National MTB-CX program.
Responsibilities
The Event Coordinator will work across the Events team and provide support through the following areas.
Event Sanctioning
- Coordinate inbound enquiries from clubs and private organisers for the purposes of event sanctioning for Mass Participation events.
- Support the education and development of clubs and event organisers in event planning and risk management.
UCI Liaison and Support
- Lead the UCI and ID license process
- Undertake registration of all UCI events and results reporting
Event Administration
- Maintaining AusCycling ACE Event Entry System including onboarding events and managing external queries.
- Maintaining AusCycling Shopify Store including managing logistics, ordering and financial reporting
Event Operations
- Work within the Event Delivery Team at targeted events and support the planning and logistics for identified events.
- Lead point of enquiry for the MTB-CX National events program.
Other
- Develop and retain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Collect and report on education data, insights, and learnings to contribute to continuous improvement of AusCycling
