About the role

We are currently seeking a Golf Course Marshal to join us on a casual basis.

You will be responsible for the orderly and timely movement of tee times, controlling the pace of play, and ensuring the golf course policies and dress code are followed in addition to providing members and visitors with high quality customer service.

This will be a weekend-based role with shifts on both Saturday and Sunday.

Key responsibilities include:

• Interact with golfers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Identify slow groups and maintain a reasonable pace of play.
• Responsible for informing players of course conditions, local rules and golf etiquette.
• Continuously monitor the course by moving around the entire grounds.
• Continuously patrol the course looking for ways to assist golfers.
• Maintain a high level of communication with golfers on the course.
• Perform reasonable tasks and projects as assigned by the Professional Staff, Golf Operations Manager or Superintendent.
• Maintain communication with the Pro Shop.

  Essential requirements:

• Experience in a similar role (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• High knowledge of golf and the rules of golf.
• Ability to safely operate motorised golf cart.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Regularly drive golf cart wherein foot controls are used as well as repetitive hand use.
