The Head of Umpiring Operations is a key leadership role within the BFUA, responsible for the overall management and administration of umpiring within the association. Reporting directly to the BFUA Board, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the ongoing success and development of umpiring across all competitions serviced by the BFUA.
The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing recruitment, training, and development of umpires, coordinating match appointments, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and upholding the BFUA’s values and reputation. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting and developing both the people and the game.

Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead a team and manage operations within a sporting or community organisation.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, including umpires, coaches, club officials, and media.
Knowledge of Officiating: Familiarity with umpiring and/or sport administration is highly advantageous.
Organisational Skills: Experience in managing multiple tasks and responsibilities, from scheduling to financial management.
