The National Integrity Manager will be responsible for embedding the National Integrity Framework and other National Sporting Organisation (Australian Dragon Boat Federation) policies into all levels of the sport to ensure participants have confidence that they are participating in a safe, clean, inclusive, and fair sport.

The National Integrity Manager will also be responsible for providing advice and guidance on integrity and complaint-related matters for the Australian Dragon Boat Federation and State Members and member Clubs. 

As this is a part-time position, establishing a partnership with other sports for a similar role will be considered to maximise outcomes and leverage capabilities/expertise.

Position Purpose:

The National Integrity Manager will also be responsible for providing advice and guidance on integrity and complaint-related matters for the Australian Dragon Boat Federation and State Members and member Clubs.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties of the National Integrity Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Education

  • Implement the National Education Plan across the sport
  • Develop & deliver integrity education program to staff, athletes, coaches, volunteers and other stakeholders (at all levels).

Complaint Management

  • Manage the complaint handling process on behalf of AusDBF including investigations, tribunals, sanctions and mediations.
  • Triage and provide advice/support to States and affiliated clubs about managing complaints at their respective levels of the sport.
  • Coordinate with Sport Integrity Australia in respect of complaints and anti-doping violations subject to independent management.

Policy & Process Review

  • Develop and Review all National Integrity Framework polices and relevant supporting guidelines, procedures and policies
  • Observe and comply with AusDBF Policies

Reporting  & Compliance

  • Ensure the NSO remains compliant with the National Integrity Framework and Anti-Doping Policy
  • Maintain accurate records of all complaints
  • Represent each AusDBF where directed in integrity matters with external stakeholders including SIA, ASC and NST.
  • Write Board Reports, including Complaint Dashboard and graphical trends.
  • Provide regular updates on progress and/or issues as required

General

  • Provide regular updates on progress and/or issues as required
  • Attend and participate in meetings and events as required
  • Ensure Sport Integrity website content is kept up to date

Undertake other reasonable tasks as delegated

Essential Requirements

  • Sports Management / Business Degree
  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check

  • Knowledge of National Integrity Framework
  • • Confident in using technology, software programs and digital platforms
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially data management platforms SharePoint and Teams
  • Experience using revSPORT (or similar sports management platform), preferred
  • Experience working in member-based organisations with volunteer boards and/or committees (Club / State / National levels)
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience and success at an operational level, with sound stakeholder management skills and good problem-solving skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Law degree
