North Ballarat Football & Netball Club (Ballarat Football Netball League) is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Head Coach - Football for season 2025 and beyond.

North Ballarat is proud of its history as one of the most successful country football clubs and looks forward to appointing a suitably qualified coach who will build on this history and create a future of sustained success.

The Head Coach will play a vital role in the development of all players throughout the Club and will be suitably supported by Manager of Football Operations, Junior Coaches, Chief Executive Officer, Football Director and the Board.

Key coaching objectives:

  • Develop a football game plan that ensures the clubs on field and off field success.
  • Play a lead role in player recruiting, retention and skills development (partnered with DOF and appropriate Committees).
  • Commit to the clubs Pathways Development program and maximise opportunities to fast forward the development of our junior players into senior players at the club.
  • Manage relationships with all club stakeholders.
  • Establish a professional, positive, and disciplined culture for all players and support staff in line with the club’s values.
  • Provide strong leadership to the playing and coaching groups that ensures a supportive team first culture.
  • To have a positive working relationship with the Football Department, Coaches / Club Executive and appropriate Committees

To be successful the applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Have a desire for team and personal success with the aim of continual improvement, player behaviour & development, all leading to premiership success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead and communicate to all players and club members.
  • Ability to identify / develop talent within the club and if required assist recruit the necessary talent to the club.
  • Ability to bring support staff as needed.
  • Previous knowledge and ability to develop a game plan and training structure to ensure on field success.
  • Minimum requirement is Level 2 coaching accreditation and a Working with Children Check.
  • A high level of organisational skills and positive attitude.
  • Previous playing or coaching experience at a high level is preferred but not essential.
  • Be able to engage with coaches, support staff, players, all club members and sponsors.
