The Sport Operations Officer will work closely with the High Performance (HP) Coordinator and other staff to provide world-class operational support to SA’s HP Program including athletes, coaches and performance support staff. A key responsibility of the Sport Operations Officer will be the organisation and implementation of logistics associated with all National Squad and Team travel both domestic and international.
The following responsibilities are indicative requirements of the role and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all requirements:
Coordinate travel for HP Program activities including booking air travel, ground transport and accommodation;
Prepare for program activities including organisation of competition entries, visas, firearms permits and distribution of logistical summaries;
Coordinate the ordering and distribution of National Squad and Team uniforms;
Support the HP Coordinator to develop, implement, monitor and review budget for HP Program activities;
Ensure that all contact and biographical information relating to National Squad and Team members is kept up-to-date;
Administer Athlete Agreements and ensure that National Squad and Team members are compliant with requirements such as anti-doping and integrity;
Contribute to the development, monitoring and regular review of travel and other policies that underpin effective HP Program operations;
Provide general administrative support to senior staff;
Support the efficient and effective operation of the SA Office;
Maintain strong relationships through regular and effective communication with a variety of HP stakeholders and the Shooting community at large.
The full-time position will ideally suit a well-organised self-starter with excellent time management skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The position will be based at Shooting Australia's head office in Adelaide's city fringe.
