Baseball NSW is the governing State body for our sport. We are looking for someone who can take on our accounts & financial reporting as well as oversee our staff management
Responsibilities
Bank reconciliations, Accounts payable and receivable
Prepare monthly financial reports for CEO & Board of Management
Provide input into Board papers as required and support accountant and CEO in the preparation of Annual report
Lodge monthly & quarterly Activity Statements
Adhoc program and event invoicing
Bookkeeping for tournaments & tours including invoicing, payments, reconciliations and budget assistance
Key interface with external accountant/auditor
Assisting BNSW CEO in annual budget preparation and forecasting
Payroll administration for fortnightly payroll of 10-12 employees, including quarterly superannuation lodgement and reporting, and PAYG
Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain teams agenda & task management system
Coordinate staff training sessions and seminars
Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated strong office administration and bookkeeping skills
Extensive knowledge and experience with Xero accounting software
Knowledge of payroll administration, BAS, superannuation and other statutory requirements
Good understanding of HR operations and team management
Attention to detail and accuracy
High level verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage priorities
Desirable Criteria
Willingness to support and work with others to improve their system skills and capabilities
Previous experience in a similar role
Ability to identify cost and efficiency opportunities in day to day tasks
Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and support a busy office environment in a structured and systematic way
